MD Advisory (“MD Advisory,” “we,” “us,” or “our“) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using our website (milliondollaradvisory.com), contacting us via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, phone, or SMS, or submitting any form on our platforms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. About Us

MD Advisory is a Malaysia-based loan referral and matching service. We are not a bank or licensed moneylender, and we do not lend money directly. We help borrowers identify and connect with licensed banks and financial institutions in Malaysia that are more likely to approve their loan application, based on their financial profile.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

a) Information you give us directly

  • Full name
  • Phone number / WhatsApp number
  • Loan type of interest (e.g. personal loan, credit card, car loan, mortgage)
  • Target loan amount
  • Income information, employment details, and existing loan/credit commitments
  • Identification details (e.g. NRIC number) and supporting documents (e.g. payslips, bank statements, CCRIS/CTOS-related information) where needed to prepare your loan application
  • Any other information you voluntarily share with our team via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or phone

b) Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on our website
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 6)

c) Information from third parties

  • Phone numbers submitted to our Staff Verification tool (see Section 7)

We do not knowingly collect more data than is necessary to provide our services.

5. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Because our service involves matching you with a bank, we necessarily share relevant parts of your personal data with the licensed bank(s) or financial institution(s) we believe are suitable for your application. We will only do this in connection with helping you secure a loan.

We may also disclose your personal data to:

  • Our employees, agents, and authorised representatives, on a need-to-know basis
  • Service providers who support our operations (e.g. SMS gateway providers, WhatsApp/CRM systems, IT and hosting providers), bound by confidentiality obligations
  • Regulators, law enforcement, or courts, where required by law
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. This is distinct from sharing data with banks for the purpose of arranging your loan, which is the core service you are requesting from us.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies (including tools such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel and analytics tools) to:

  • Understand how visitors use our website
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising
  • Show you more relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram

You can disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some parts of our website may not function properly if you do so.

7. Staff Verification Tool

To help protect you from scams, our website allows you to enter a phone number to check whether it belongs to a verified MD Advisory staff member. The number you submit is checked against our internal staff directory solely for this verification purpose and is not used for marketing.

8. Marketing Communications

If you have provided your consent, we may send you marketing messages via WhatsApp, SMS, or Facebook Messenger about loan products and promotions relevant to you.

You may withdraw your consent or opt out of marketing messages at any time by:

  • Replying “STOP” to any SMS, or
  • Informing our representative via WhatsApp, or
  • Contacting us using the details in Section 12

Opting out of marketing will not affect our ability to contact you regarding an active loan application you have requested.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or mobile networks is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide our loan-matching service to you
  • Comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

Once data is no longer needed for these purposes, we will securely delete or anonymise it.

11. Your Rights Under the PDPA

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate or outdated personal data
  • Withdraw consent for us to process your personal data (including for marketing)
  • Limit processing of your personal data, subject to legal and contractual limitations

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 12. We may require proof of identity before processing your request.

Please note that withdrawing consent for certain data (e.g. income or loan details) may limit our ability to assist you with a loan application.
